Miles Per gallon: Short Film

Crowdfunding Campaign

Problem: 

For this short film to be made, a goal of $3,900 was needed. While my production company had a portion of that amount that we could invest into this film, it wasn’t enough to cover the cost of everything. So, we needed to raise the money elsewhere. 

Solution:

I turned to Kickstarter for a crowdfunding campaign and the approach was to create a campaign that was a strong representation of what the film would look like. I also wanted to provide as much information as possible to potential supporters while ensuring it was very clear and easy to understand.

At the top of the campaign, I have an introductory video that quickly and concisely covers what the project is and what we need to make it happen.

I opted to create banner images for each topic to split the campaign into sections. I also decided to utilize bolded text, bullet points, and graphics to help readers get the necessary information in as little time as possible. 

Results:

The campaign funding exceeded the initial goal and the film was able to be produced.

Social Media Management

Type: Organic Social

Approach: The purpose of this social media account for Miles Per Gallon was to raise awareness and support for the film, especially during the funding phase of pre-production so that we could raise as much money as possible and reach the goal needed in order to go into production. It was also meant to act as an information hub that would quickly and clearly show the overall aesthetic of the film as well as offer updates on it’s production to supporters of the film.
